We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the LAW-GAME in the CSI pilot, held on July 18 and 19, 2024. This achievement marks a significant milestone and showcases the outstanding collaboration and dedication from our Consortium.

The pilot took place at the SPP training centre in Bucharest and included the participation of technical partners SIMAVI, EUC, USAL, KEMEA, CERTH, and SQD, as well as the end-users. Over the course of two days, participants engaged in comprehensive training and testing sessions designed to validate the LAW-GAME system’s capabilities in crime scene reconstruction and analysis.

Day One: Introduction and Training

The first day of the pilot introduced partners to the immersive virtual world of LAW-GAME and its system functionalities, under the expert guidance of our technical manager, Bogdan Gornea. His exceptional work and dedication, especially in the final days leading up to the pilot, were crucial to our success.

The partners were introduced to the standalone tool for the recreation and analysis of crime scenes. They participated in multiplayer training sessions, which covered both the theoretical aspects of crime scene investigation through our learning management system and practical applications in a virtual reality (VR) environment.

Day Two: Testing and Validation

On the second day, the LAW-GAME end-users and partner organisations tested the crime scene reconstruction and analysis system, successfully validating the digitised forensic services with high accuracy. The partners engaged in both theory and practice, further enhancing their skills in crime scene investigation within VR environments. The results exceeded our expectations, demonstrating the effectiveness and reliability of the system.

The LAW-GAME project team extends its sincere congratulations to SPP for their exceptional organization and coordination throughout the CSI pilot. Their leadership and meticulous planning were instrumental in the success of this initiative. Additionally, the project team acknowledges also the valuable support provided by the Romanian Police experts.

A great thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this significant achievement.

Stay tuned for updates on the next pilot activity scheduled for this week.
